Tami Tice Jacob

Pre-Service Training Facilitator

Tami Tice Jacob brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to advocating for children and families. Tami's journey began with the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence and CASA of Central Virginia, where she's held diverse roles, including CASA volunteer, Development Director, and now as our Training Facilitator.

Tami's dedication to making a difference started with a degree from Lynchburg College, where she proudly became the first-generation college graduate in her family. Her educational journey continued with a Master's in Community Counseling from Eastern Illinois University.

After a decade spent raising her three daughters, Tami ventured into the legal field. After graduating from Liberty University School of Law, she explored various domains, such as prosecution and family law, but ultimately found her true passion in immigration law, a perfect blend of her counseling and legal skills. She is currently an attorney with Poarch Thompson Law out of Salem, Virginia. Tami's extensive training includes Collaborative Divorce, Mediation and Interest-Based Negotiation Skills, Domestic Violence Advocacy, Sexual Assault Victim Training, Trauma-Informed Care in the classroom, and Interviewing the Abused Child.

Beyond her professional life, Tami enjoys running with her faithful Australian Shepherd, sharing books with friends, and indulging in friendly games of tennis with her husband of 23 years.

Tami Tice Jacob is not just our Training Facilitator; she's a compassionate advocate, a dedicated mother, a lifelong learner, and a true CASA Superhero. We're privileged to have her as part of our team and look forward to the remarkable impact she'll continue to make in her role.
