Tami Tice Jacob
Tami graduated from Lynchburg College with a communication studies degree in 1998. In 2000, she obtained her masters in community counseling from Eastern Illinois University. She has worked as an advocate, shelter manager and counselor for the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She worked as a Lead Litigation Paralegal in one of the top 5th law firms in the world, Latham and Watkins’ Chicago office, where she focused on complex intellectual property and contract cases. Since that time she has had 3 children and returned to Lynchburg with her Chicago native husband. She has a passion for our community and a willingness to serve it. She was blessed to stay home 9 years with her 3 daughters. She has served or is serving our community as a Girl Scout Troop leader, Girls on the Run coach, 2 PTOs, Vice President of the Lynchburg Triathlon Club, Chair of Rosel's List and a CASA advocate. She completes in triathlons and completed her first Ironman in October 2015 (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run). She ran every day during 2016 (366 days-Leap Year). Currently she is able to use her communication, counseling and legal skills working for CASA (court appointed special advocates) as the Development Director. Tami states, “I love my job. I feel so honored telling donors about CASA and the children we serve. I feel like it is a privilege to partner with our community in a way that impacts the lives of children. I want our donors to know us and I strive to create authentic relationships with them.” Tami also serves on our all of our Event Committees, the Marketing Committee, and the Fundraising Committee. She is the chair of our CASA Legacy League.
