Best Interest of the Child Within a Legal Framework

This virtual panel discussion will examine how J&DR Court and each of its key players define and assess the best interests of a child, especially when balancing competing concerns. In particular, the discussion will explore how the law roots a child's flourishing within the context of their family, and how and why best practices in the court process and DSS policy build on this assumption and work to repair inter-family trauma.

The panel discussion will also include DSS representatives, attorneys, and a mental health professional.

CASA volunteers will earn 2 in-service hours.
