An Intro to QRTP Hearings

Join in person (space is limited) or via Zoom

Presented by:

Kathryn Jordan, City Attorney for Lynchburg DSS

Shana Richardson, Foster Care Supervisor, Lynchburg DSS

QRTP Hearings are a new federal requirement every 6 months for children placed in a residential treatment setting. These court reviews are meant to decrease the number of children in congregate care settings, and ensure children return to family-based placements as quickly as possible. We will hear from a DSS attorney what findings are made at these hearings, what information DSS and CASA should include in their reports for these hearings, and more.
