In-Service: Understanding Mental Health Medications in Foster Care

This workshop will explore the impact of medication management, mental health, and substance use disorders within the CASA role. Participants will gain a better understanding of how these factors can affect children and families involved in the child welfare system, while learning ways CASA advocates can provide informed and effective advocacy. The session will also include panel discussions featuring mental health professionals who will provide additional insight and perspective.

Food will be served. Parking instructions will be sent out with the event reminder email.

​CASA volunteers will earn 2 ½ in-service hours for this workshop.
