Children from Hard Places: Understanding Various Therapeutic Approaches

Children from hard places often face unique mental health challenges. This comprehensive training provides an overview of various therapeutic approaches to highlight the impact of quality mental health care for these children. Explore a range of therapeutic interventions including family therapy, play therapy, CBT, DBT, Brainspotting, and EMDR. Additionally, gain a foundational understanding of the Teaching Family Model. Emphasizing a public health approach. This training also addresses the importance of breaking stigma and fostering a supportive environment for mental health care. Equip yourself with the knowledge and techniques to support and enhance the well being of children in our community..

CASA volunteers will earn 2 in-service hours for this workshop.
